REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUPANG -- Ngada Regent, Marianus Sae allegedly ordering his subordinates to carry out a blockade of Turelelo airport runway in Soa district, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on December 21. Now, he is named as suspect for the case.
"Ngada Regional Police has investigated 15 Ngada Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) officers last week," Ngada Police Chief, Untung Yoga said on Monday.
Yoga explained that Sae violated the rule by ordering others to break the law. He is threatened with 2,8 years imprisonment. Police will examine Ngada Regent in NTT Regional Police Office. They will investigate this case seriously as it becomes spotlight at local and central level.
Ngada Regent asked his officers to block the runway with their cars after he did not get a seat on Merpati Nusantara Airlines flight from El Tari Airport in Kupang to Turelelo. The airport blockade began at 06:15 AM until 09.00 AM.
