REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR - Makassar based conglomerate Bosowa Corporation inagurated the first facility construction of port and terminal of cement packing worth 700 billion IDR in Barru village, South Sulawesi. Bosowa's Chief Executive, Erwin Aksa said that in total the investment was used to build jetty for shipment, ship, docks, warehouse and cement packing terminal.
"These facilities are also to avoid queues ships for export of cement and clinker. Clinker will mainly be distributed to other Bosowa milling station located in various islands in Indonesia," Aksa said recently.
All facilities will support plan of industrial expansion outside Makassar. It is located 107 kilometers in west of Makassar or 5 km from Barru village. In the region Bisowa has four cement silos with capacity of 20 thousand tonnes per sillo
Silo is used to store cement from Bosowa's cement plant sent to an island or export destination. There is also storage facilities on 3 hectares of areas to accomodate coal, gypsum and iron sand. Bosowa will also build storage facilities and clinker delivery.
