REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono reminded all Indonesians to stay alert and be ready to combat natural disasters such as the tsunami that devastated Aceh and Nias nine years ago.

"We must always be alert to natural disasters," the head of state tweeted on his Twitter account,  @SBYudhoyono, on Thursday.

Yudhoyono expressed his gratitude with regard to the handling of the Aceh disaster, thanks to the cooperation from all parties.

"Thank God, we have been able to rebuild Aceh and Nias. Thanks to our togetherness, we could deal with any disaster," he added.
