1,500 Quran teachers in West Nusa Tenggara get incentive funds

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MATARAM - About 1,500 Quran teachers in West Nusa Tenggara received incentive funds from provincial government worth 1.5 billion IDR. Public Welfare's Head of West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government, Suhaimi said that total funds reached 1.6 billion IDR, consisted of 1.5 billion IDR as incentive funds and 100 million IDR as operational funds to implement this program.

"We will distribute this fund starting on Februari 2014 to all Quran teachers in various districts and cities of West Nusa Tenggara," Suhaimi said on Wednesday.

Quran teacher incentive fund is part of regional budget 2014 of 7.79 billion IDR allocated to Regional Secretariat of Public Welfare. The fund is expected to improve teaching and learning process in various study locations as expectations of all parties. 

Provincial government also prepares travel destination to support Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy promoting nine sharia tourism destinations in Indonesia. Its potential is quite large on Lombok Island, known as Thousand Island Mosque. Sharia tourism destination development is part of preparation ahead of launch of Islamic tourism products in 2014.
