REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The long journey of Republika Online (ROL) English Version compartment entered a new phase. Now, new sub-compartment was provided to accommodate our loyal readers to share their minds, views or opinions on 'Speak Out'.
In the last two years, the compartment always strived to be updated wherever possible. At that time there was only one journalist who handle this huge compartment; Yeyen Rostiyani.
"I remember, I had to do it all without a reporter," she said some time ago.
She explained, the struggle was not in vain. Several readers revealed that the English Version was helpful for them to understand ROL.
"Several staff at international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the embassies told me that they were benefitted from the channel," she recalled reader's responds to ROL English.
Occasionally, some articles in ROL English was filled by other senior editors; Ajeng Ritzki Pitakasari for general issue, Fernan Rahadi for sport news and some other editors who want to contribute any news. Now, the compartment supported by reporter Mutia Ramadhani and Editor Julkifli Marbun.
