REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned toll road operator, PT Jasamarga will add 1,800 lights at toll roads. It aims to improve services on toll roads.
"It needs total investment of 14 billion IDR," Director of Operations in Jasamarga, Hasanuddin said recently.
This program aims to improve convenience of toll road users, especially along Cawang-Tomang-Grogol-Pluit toll roads. It also aims to avoid traffic accidents on toll roads.
As a result, improvement of this service quality will cause a tariff increase in several inner-city toll roads on December 5, 2013. Hasanuddin said that the company tried to provide services for toll road users.
Jasamarga previously did not raise inner-city toll roads as the Minimum Services Standards have not been met. A number of toll road lights were off because its battery lost, but now have been anticipated by Jasamarga by deployed some supervisors.
Jasamarga will also add watt bulbs to be doubled, from 70 watts to 120 watts. Hasanuddin is optimistic that there will be no problem anymore in street lighting. All lights will take heat of the sun for 11 hours. The battery will be charged as the help of PLN, state owned electricity company.
