Indonesian-Netherlands to cooperate on export development

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian government through Ministry of Trade and Netherlands agreed to work for export development. Acting Director General of National Export Development in Ministry of Trade, Nuz Nuzulia Ishak said that Country Brand index (CBI) Indonesia would not only focus on improving exporter capacity through Export Coaching Programme (ECP), but also improving exporter creativity.

"This partnership aims to improve competitiveness of Indonesian products, especially textile products, home decor, as well as food ingredients to compete European market and other countries in Asia, Africa, Central and South America," Ishak said recently.

CBI Indonesia will conduct some programs, such as capacity building for staff of Ministry of Trade, dissemination of information regarding market access and import regulations in European countries through seminar and workshop for all stakeholders in Indonesia. CBI Indonesia will also prepare export promotion strategy for all sectors.

Previously, Indonesia and Netherland have conducted training and workshop related to market access and integrated product adaptation on export development. It can strengthen Indonesia's export performance.
