REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDARLAMPUNG -- Lampung provincial government as one of initiators of Sunda Strait Bridge urged the revitalization of Team 7 related to acceleration of Sunda Strait Strategic Infrastructure Region. Governor of Lampung, Sjachroedin ZP continued to ask President's promise to conduct the first construction next year.
"We ask central government to revitalize the Team 7. It is not clear yet to us," ZP said recently.
Sunda Strait Bridge will stretch from Bakauheni in Lampung to Merak in Banten along 29 kilometers with cost of 100 trillion IDR. The construction continued to be delayed, though the accelerated development of the bridge has pocketed a presidential decree since 2009.
Government has also put the bridge development into National Development Planning and conducted a pre-feasibility study. ZP said that he was disappointed with team performance, which not seriously worked as president's assistant.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Hatta Rajasa said that the ground breaking phase of Sunda Strait Bridge failed to do in 2014. It is still entering a feasibility study phase by Ministry of Public Works.
