Pres. Candidate, Anies: Collective action to combat corruption

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA -- Paramadina University Rector and the presidential candidate of Democrat party's convention, Anies Baswedan said, Indonesia required collective action to combat corruption so that all parties should step in and not only stop on a discourse.

"This is important because Indonesian nation faces a major challenge on anti-corruption front. Corruption is now infecting the whole sector," Anies said on the declaration of newly founded social organization Barisan Nusantara in Yogyakarta on Sunday, yesterday.

According to him, the fight against corruption can not only deposited to Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), all parties, he added, must do their best to present clean personality with proper ways.

"On developing Indonesia, it is time the human being is as a central attention not only it resources. It also means a step to produce strong families, strong communities, and strong Indonesia," he said.
