REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, Bogor -- A total of 27 infrastructure projects enlisted in public-private partnership plans book or a Public Private Partnership (PPP) in 2013. The project value reached 47.5 billion USD.

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) Dedy Priatna revealed the 27 2013 PPP projects was divided into two categories namely 14 prospective projects and 13 potential projects.

PPP Book launch will be done in conjunction with the Indonesia International Infrastructure Conference and Exhibition (IIICE) in November 2013.

"Of the 27 projects, 21 projects have entered the tender period and was included in the previous PPP plan books, and it included as infrastructure project that has not been fully explored," he said in Bogor on Friday (1/11).

The unlisted projects in plans book that yet has unfinished tender process include a power plant in Central Java (CJPP), Umbulan's water supply, Kota Bandar Lampung's water supply, Maros's Water Supply, Coal Power Plant in 9 Mulut Tambang South Sumatra, coal plant in 10 Mulut Tambang South Sumatra.

Then, Coal Train Puruk Cahu-Bangkuang, Balaraja-Serpong toll road, Medan-Kuala Namu toll-Bukit Tinggi, West Semarang City Water Supply, Lamongan Water Supply, Batam Solid Waste, Tanah Ampo Cruise Terminal (Bali) and Serpong Waste Energy.

Dedy admitted there was a slow progress in contracted and tendered projects.

"Most investors are asking the government guarantee. Such as, the project of CJPP was not commenced yet because the land has not been freed, that's why government decree is created in order to extend financial close for a year," he said.

Government financing schemes relied on Public Private Partnership as a source of financing, because the government capacity to fund infrastructure is very limited. It supported the implementation of the MP3EI.

Earlier, on the 2012 PPP book, there were 58 projects offered by Bappenas; 3 projects on offers, 26 in the category of priority projects and 29 projects in the potential category worth 51.2 billion USD.
