REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- National flight carrier, PT Garuda Indonesia will serve flights to four tourism locations in East Nusa Tenggara, namely Komodo Island, Labuan Bajo, Ende and Tambolaka. Flights to these exotic locations will be started on December 3, 2013.
"Company will serve the first flight from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali to Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo and Ende everyday," Vice President of Domestic and Regional III in Garuda Indonesia, Ari Suryanta said on Wednesday.
Suryanta said that the potential of local people and tourists who traveled from Bali to East Nusa Tenggara were quite high, especially to West Manggarai regency which has a number of exotic attractions, such as Komodo National Park and Batu Cermin sites. State owned aircraft company will provide more quality services compared to other airline companies that have been serving the route.
Garuda Indonesia will use plane type ATR-70/600 for these routes. It expected to increase foreign and domestic tourists. Vice Regent of West Manggarai, Maximus Gasa welcomed the presence of Garuda Indonesia. People and tourists who will travel to West manggarai have their own choice in making comfortable trips. During this, there are several airlines serving the route, but not fully providing satisfactory services.
