REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PENAJAM -- A police officer with initial name KY (30 years) and a civil servant of Department of Transportation, Culture and Tourism (RM, 39) were caught red-handed while using drugs during a police raid at a house in Province Kilometer 1 Street in Penajam, East Kalimantan.
Penajam Police Chief, Com Joudy Mailoor said that they were arrested by officers of East Kalimantan Police Narcotics Investigation Unit and Directorate of Narcotics Investigation. They were caught using crystal methamphetamines, locally known as shabu-shabu.
"Police also arrested three others, namely IF (30), BH (25) and SR (24)," Mailoor said recently.
The arrest began when Police officers followed KY to IF's house. KY has been suspected as a drug user. Penajam police has monitored his movements for a long time. When they were arrested, KY and his friends put up a fight.
Police confiscated a number of items that they were using to consume the drugs, such as some straws and plastic packs of meth. Police also found a plastic wrap contained of 35 grams of methamphetamines, digital scale and a bong (meth pipe).
Once he was arrested, KY was immediately escorted to East Kalimantan Police office for further examination, while other suspects were secured in Penajam Police office.
"If KY is proven to consume meth, he can be dismissed," Mailoor said.
