REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Balinese people will celebrate Galungan Holyday Ceremony on Wednesday, October 23. Bali Police increases its patrols to secure the most important feast for Balinese Hindus.

Galungan is a celebration to honor the creator of the universe (Ida Sang Hyang Widi) and ancestors. Head of Public Relation in Bali Police, Comr Hariadi said that they would increase security, especially in villages.

"We will also conduct patrols to maintain security of Galungan Ceremony," Hariadi said recently.

Increased security patrols are also conducted in some places, such as Bali protocol streets and tourists sites. Hariadi said that many Balinese people left their houses for homebound trip. Many shopping centers are also not operating. This situation can be used by irresponsible people for bad purposes.

"We encourage residents to anticipate the security by intensifying security environment, including coordination with police," Hariadi said.
