Habib Munzir buried on Monday

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - An Islamic cleric who led Majelis Rasulullah, Habib Munzir Almusawa (40 years) was buried in General Cemetry of Habib Kuncung in Kalibata, South Jakarta, after noon prayer on Monday September 16, 2013. Majelis Rasulullah is one of the biggest Islamic forums in Jakarta.

Some officials and national leaders also came to residence of Habib Munzir, including President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who offered his condolences. Yudhoyono said that he remembered Habib Munzir as a young yet wise and prudent person. 

"I hope his family continues his teaching, " Yudhoyono said on Monday.

Minister of Religious Affairs Suryadharma Ali, Minister of Education and Culture Muhammad Nuh, also Chairman of the House of Representatives Marzuki Alie attended Habib's residence.

Munzir was born in Cianjur, West Java, and he was the youngest of four children. Munzir usually wore Yemeni-style clothes and turban during his preaching.
