Bank Danamon launches SMS banking

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia's fifth largest lender, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia launched SMS banking services with several new innovations. This new service is equipped with mobile payment technology on demand (mPOD). 

Director of Consumer Banking in Bank Danamon, Michellina Triwardhany said SMS banking was expected to increase number of transactions more than 20 percent. Currently, number of online transaction in Danamon reaches eight million per month.

"We hope that number of SMS banking customer can increase to 100 thousand users and 500 thousand users by next three years." Triwardhany said on Jakarta recently

SMS banking services can be activated simply by installing stickers on phone of SIM card after opens an account in Danamon. Danamon SMS banking service also provides a feature, namely Favorites Menu which can be accessed with quick, safe, easy and convenient in transaction transfers, purchases and payments.

Through SMS banking, customers can make payment transactions such as purchase of credit, mortgage payments and interbank transfers as Mandiri, BCA, and other banks with limit of 25 million IDR per transaction per day. Customers can also pay vehicles loan installment of Adira Finance through SMS banking services.
