Operator plans to increase taxes in three airports

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned airport operator, PT Angkasa Pura II plans to increase taxes in Kualanamu Airport (North Sumatra), Sultan Syarif Qasim II Airport (Pekanbaru, Riau) and Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport (Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands). 

"The plan is aimed to adjust airport maintenance costs and maximize services because these three airports are still new," Coorporate Secretary of Angkasa Pura II, Wasfan Widodo said on Wednesday.

If approved, taxes in Raja Haji Fisabilillah and Sultan Syarif Qasim II Airport will increase from 35 thousand IDR to 50 thousand IDR while in Kualanamu Airport the current tariff of 35 thousand IDR will rise to 100 thousand IDR.
