REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KARAWANG - Scarcity of Quran copies, the Muslim's holy book, makes Ministry of Religious Affairs comes out with this idea: encouraging brides and grooms to donate copies of Quran. The brides and grooms can donate the Quran through Religius Affairs Office (KUA), an office where Muslims' marriage are registered.

"Then, all Quran copies donated by the brides and groom will be collected for further distribution to mosques, praying rooms and majelis taklim (study group on Islam)," Head of Islamic Community Guidance at Ministry of Religious Affairs in Karawang, Sambas Fauzi said on Sunday. The donation can be in any number of copies or sizes. So far the appeal has received good responses from public.
