REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- According to survey data of Charitable Giving by MasterCard which was released on Monday (13/6), Indonesia was fourth in Asia Pacific ranking that was associated with the desire to donate.

According to these data, Indonesia is ranked fourth with a percentage value of 63.2. Meanwhile, the people of Thailand and Vietnam are the biggest consumers who have the strongest desire to donate, which ranked the highest with each score as much as 70.5 percent and 70.4 percent respectively.

Currently online donations has  increased, especially during certain celebrations and festive seasons, where charities will switch via the internet to increase its reach to the consumer. Nonetheless, consumers in the region still feel worried when making online payments.

MasterCard's Safety & Security Index recently found out that Thailand and Vietnam are both countries that have a strong desire to make a charitable donation and is also the country's most concerned about making payments electronically.

This concern may have an impact on the total value of donations that can be collected in the region. However, it will be easier to keep track of where the money will be distributed and for what the money would be used for if you make a donation through the official websites compared to donating it in cash.
