REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Bank Mega decides to withdraw from rating process conducted by Fitch Ratings as the bank doesn't have plan to issue bonds in the near future. Fitch Ratings is a global rating agency dedicated to rpovide value beyond the rating through objective and balanced credit opinions, research and data.
The new President Director of Bank Mega, Kostaman Thayib said Bank Mega only needed the Fitch Ratings when the bank would issue bonds. The bank collaborated with Fitch Ratings in 2007.
"Now, all our bonds are paid off. Bank Mega has no plan to issue new bonds in the near future and we don't need their rating service. Bank Mega also stop the process of Fitch Ratings because Bank Mega has to pay every year," Kostaman said on Thursday.
Earlier, Fitch Rating gave national ratings of Bank Mega an A, with Stable Outlook. The rating is withdrawn because Fitch no longer have enough information as the company decided not to participate in the rating process.
