Senegal to buy more planes from Indonesia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Defense Minister of Senegal, Augustine Tine admired Indonesian aircraft, CN-235, and planned to buy more aircrafts. Currently Armed Forces of Senegal has had one unit of CN-235.

The military transport aircraft was purchased on credit of guarantor in Belgium.

"We use this aircraft for various purposes. Level of use of this aircraft is very high and I am satisfied with its ability," Tine said after a meeting with Deputy Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin in Dakar recently.

The minister sometimes uses the aircraft to go to neighboring countries such as Mali or Benin. also offered CN-295, the new generation. Tine was also interested to purchase one unit of CN-295 after Sjamsoeddin offered the new generation aircraft.
