REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The giant e-commerce website ebay will be present in Indonesia in next two months. The presence of ebay will add the tough competition of buying and selling business in virtual world.

ebay in Indonesian version will use Plasa.com, a page combined capital between Telkom and Microsoft which is currently ranks at 78,758 at Alexa. It will compete with local major e-commerce players, such as Kaskus, Tokopedia and Rakuten

"ebay Plasa will not show the bargain's feature like the hallmark of ebay currently. A research result indicated the bargain's feature was not compatible for Indonesian market," CEO of Plasa MSN, Widi Nugroho said on Wednesday.

ebay Plasa is predicted to be number one consumer-to-consumer (C2C) and business-to-consumer (B2C) e-store in this country. Since its partnership with Telkom Indonesia last year, ebay team has been developing the marketplace platform as well as doing research about the Indonesian market.
