REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture Suswono said that Indonesia was ready to sign and implement mutual recognition agreement with Chinese government next year.

"Indonesia and China still need time to prepare their products to be exported," Suswono said on Friday.

MRA will allow Chinese products to enter through Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta. Currently, there are only four countries allowed to enter the port namely United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

China is one of the largest importers of garlic to Indonesia, while export of edible-nest swiftlet to China is estimated to reach seven trillion IDR per year.
