Merpati recruits Korean and Japanese flight attendants

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - National aircraft, Merpati Nusantara Airlines, recruits 15 Korean and Japanese flight attendants to increase number of tourists from several countries in East Asia region. Those flight attendants are expected to attract business people and tourists from their own country to fly with Merpati.

"Today, there are many tourists from two countries (South Korea and Japan)  visit Bali and Jakarta. Merpati wants to invite them and other tourists from East Asia to visit tourist attractions in Lombok (West Nusa Tenggara), Komodo Island (East Nusa Tenggara), Raja Ampat (Papua) and Wakatobi (Southeast Sulawesi)," Vice President and Corporate Secretary of Merpati, Herry Saptanto said on Wednesday.

Saptanto explained that the South Korean and Japanese flight attendants would be one of ambassadors to bridge Merpati with many stakeholders in tourism and travel agencies, as well as South Korean and Japanese communities, both in Indonesia and Southeast Asian countries. 

Those flight attendants were recruited directly from their countries through professional recruitment services. They should able to speak English and also quick to learn Indonesian language. They also graduated from various leading universities in the world.
