REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - On a rare occasion, Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Dahlan Iskan promotes a book authored by former governor of Bank Indonesia, Darmin Nasution. He said that the book, 'Central Banks Must be Down to Earth' provided insight into macroeconomics.

"Mr. Nasution's strategy in lowering interest rate is effective and efficient to increase market enthusiasm. Low interest rate makes the investment climate more conducive. The book is very good," Iskan said on Tuesday then added that he had read the book.

The book tells about Nasution's experience, problems and intrigues while serving as Governor of BI. In addition, this book also tells the story behind some major economic events in Indonesia.

Nasution devoted himself to Bank Indonesia for three years and ten months. His tenure ended on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Nasution then replaced by Agus Martowardojo who previously served as minister of finance.
