Pertamina finds new oil and gas wells in S Kalimantan

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANJUNG - Pertamina Exploration and Production Assets V of Tanjung field, Tabalong in South Kalimantan found new oil and gas wells in Pugaan district. Staff of Public Relation of Pertamina, Ruspandi said Pertamina had prepared the license and permit letters to explore drilling in the new wells.

"The permit principle and location have been prepared. Today, we discussed it with regional government of Tabalong in Bandung, West Java," Ruspandi said on Wednesday.

Assistant Manager of Law and Society at Pertamina EP, Himawan Djatmiko added that during exploration activities, Pertamina focussed in three districts including in Tanta, Tanjung, and Murung Pudak district in South Kalimantan.

“Until now, Pertamina had explored three new oil and gas wells in Tanta and Murung Pudak district. Pertamina target to add seven oil and gas wells in 2013 there,” Djatmiko said.

The addition of new wells in Pugaan district expected to reach oil and gas amount 5,000 barrels per day in South Kalimantan. It includes the addition of gas supply for Pertamina's operational needs.
