Two Indonesians lead at Credit Suisse

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - A global banking company Credit Suisse appointed two Indonesians, Rizal Widodo as Co-Head of Investment Banking for Southeast Asia and Robby Winarta as Head of Indonesia Coverage. Credit Suisse Group is a leading global financial services company headquarteredin Zurich.

Head of Investment Banking Credit Suisse to Asia Pacific, Helman Sitohang said it showed Credit Suisse's commitment to focus in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. "This appoinment is important and tributed to their good performance in Southeast Asia. We are proud of the two talented young Indonesian people for leading positions at Credit Suisse," Sitohang said on Friday. 

Rizal Gozali will work in Jakarta, together with Edwin Low from Singapore. They both will responsible to lead investment banking division in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines. 

Gozali joined Credit Suisse in June 1999 as a relationship banker. During his career, he was involved in a number of important transactions in Indonesia, such as initial public offering (IPO) of Bank Mandiri, the IPO of National Gas Company (PGN) and Excelcomindo bond offering.

Meanwhile, Winata first joined Credit Suisse Group Financial Institution of New York, the United States in 1998. Furthermore, Winata joined 'Indonesia Coverage Team' in 2000. He also has been involved in many important transactions, both in governmental and private sector.
