REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chinese government has agreed to renegotiate the sale price of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Tangguh Block at Teluk Bintuni, Papua. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono revealed it on his Twitter account.

Yudhoyono said the renegotiation was necessary to get fairer price for Indonesia. "Tiongkok (China) had approved my proposal to renegotiate price of LNG Tangguh, so that Indonesia could get larger," he said on Wednesday.

About the renegotiation, Yudhoyono said that Head of Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas), Rudi Rubiandini had reported to him at the State Palace a day before. SKK Migas committed to  increase oil and gas production and renegotiate Tangguh.
