US is a potential market for Bali handicrafts

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - The United States (US) became one of ten potential markets for handicraft industry from Bali. The export volume to US was worth  43.20 million USD during February 2013. Head of Bali's Statistics Indonesia, Gede Suarsa said that US market absorbed 18.32 percent of the total export from Bali's non woven clothing products.

"Jerman also absorbed 15.11 percent of souvenirs made of stone, plaster, and cement," Suarsa said on Tuesday. Singapore is ther market of 27.66 percent of all jewelry and gems made by Balinese artisans.

Japan absorbed 31.83 percent of the total fish and shrimp commodities which shipped to overseas markets. Bali's non-oil exports amounted to 481.83 million USD during 2012.
