REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The third Indonesian president, BJ Habibie, suprised the audience during a movie screening held by Indonesian Student Association (PPI) and Indonesian community in The Haag, Netherland, as reported on Sunday.
According to the head of Indonesian Scientist Association in Netherland, Achmad Adhitya, Habibie suddenly appeared at the end of the movie screening. The event then turned to be a talk show opened by Indonesian ambassador, Retno L Marsudi, with Habibie as the guest speaker.
Adhitya said that the two hours movie really moved the audience who sometimes laughed and wept during the session.
"God sends us the seed of love, then it's our turn to raise and grow it," Habibie said.
The film was based on a book about the relationship between Habibie and his late wife, Hasri Ainun Besari. The event was attended by about 300 viewers including students, representatives of organizations and community leaders in Netherland.
