REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia is ready to host ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup U-19 2013 in October, Chairman of Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI), Djohar Arifin Husin, stated.

"We are ready if AFF appoints us," Husin said on the sidelines of AFF Meeting in Kuantan, Malaysia, on Tuesday.

He admitted that he had an informal talk with AFF board before the meeting. He claimed that AFF board supported Indonesian to host the event.

AFF initially appointed Timor Leste as the host. They switched to Indonesia after Indonesia changed into better direction after extraordinary congress in March 17, 2013 that united Indonesian football.

Husin claimed that President of AFF, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, appreciated PSSI for the success of extraordinary congress. Indonesia, as one of AFF founders, is expected to give positive contribution to the development of football in Asia, ASEAN in particular.
