REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KALIANDA - Lampung Provincial Government announces on Thursday that Sunda Strait Bridge (JJS) will be built in 2014, based on the central government plan. The bridge is expected to connect Java Island and Sumatera.
"I hope the project will start soon. This is not only for our interest, but also for our country," Local Secretary of Lampung Provincial Government, Berlian Tihang, said on Thursday.
The project will start after Ministry of Finance determine the budget, either from state budget or from private partnership. Tihang said that he would understand if the project was started later than expected.
"We are waiting for Presidential Decree," he added.
