A presidential advisor meets Shinzo Abe, talks economic recovery

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - A member of Presidential Advisory Board of Indonesia, Ginandjar Kartasasmita, paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, in Tokyo, Japan.

Kartasasmita, in a press release on Tuesday, said that they talked on Japanese economic recovery under the leadership of Abe. Kartasasmita hopes the recovery could bring positive impact to economic condition in ASEAN, particularly Indonesia.

During the meeting which coincided with the commemoration of tsunami disaster, Abe thanked  Indonesia for its support and attention for tsunami that hit Japan in 2011. He mentioned that Japan had built the disaster's hardest hit area, particularly in Fukhushima. 

Kartasasmita thanked Abe for Japanese help for the victims of tsunami hit Indonesia in 2004. During the visit, Kartasasmita met with Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Fumio Kishida as well as Japanese important organizations, such as Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JIBC), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
