REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - The newly appointed Chairman of Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Anis Matta, believes that the party will become top three in 2014 General Election despite corruption case involving the former President of PKS, Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq.
"It does not have significant effect for our party," Anis Matta said in a PKS meeting in Denpasar on Tuesday night. The consolidation involves physical building and spiritual activities.
He denied that the consolidation was an atonement for the mistake made by one of its cadre. "This is a part of worshiping God," he said.
Anis Matta insisted that the corruption case involving Ishaaq was a conspiracy towards PKS. "Conspiracy has become political trend, but I will not explain further about who did it and who is the target. I may announce it to the public on August 17," he said.
