REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Special Task Force on Upstream Oil and Gas (SKK Migas) predicts Indonesian export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2013 will decline as the production falls. The production of LNG in 2012 was 317 cargos.

"Total production of LNG will only reach 297 cargoes," the Head of SKK Migas, Rudi Rubiandini said on Thursday.

He detailed that gas production in LNG Arun Aceh and  LNG Bontang in East Kalimantan produced 21 cargo and 169 cargoes respectively. Production of LNG in Tangguh Block in Papua is predicted to produce only 107 cargoes due to the refinery's damage last year.

Head of Oil and Gas Monetization at SKK Migas Popi Ahmad Nafis said that the production decline would not impact to the state revenue.

According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), oil and gas export in November 2012 inclines by 2.23 percent from 2.6 million USD. But, the volume of crude oil and oil production are down by 4.48 percent and 26.38 percent. Gas export seems to be consistent and even climbs by 14.48 percent compared to October 2012.
