REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Government  strives to synchronize the Master Plan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI) with Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Poverty Reduction (MP3KI), hoping to alleviate poverty.

"Economic development acceleration is expected to reduce the number of people living under poverty," Coordinating Minister of People's Welfare, Agung Laksono, said on Thursday after attending coordination meeting at the Ministry of Economy.

Started from March 2013, the ministry will launch the examples of integrated villages in 33 provinces as a result of acceleration of economic development. As a kick off, nine villages in nine provinces will become the first integrated villages.

Every village will be given several synchronized programs from ministry and institution at a time. "It must be coordinated further," Laksono said.
