Jokowi and Ambassador of Brunei agree on cooperation on tourism

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Governor of Jakarta, Joko Widodo, met with Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Indonesia, Dato Paduka Mahmud Haji Saidin, on Monday. Both sides agreed to improve cooperation on tourism. 

"We agree to cooperate on tourism sector. We will discuss it further in the next meeting," Governor Widodo or popularly known as Jokowi, said on Monday.

Jokowi expressed his gratitude to the ambassador for his visit. He expects other countries to seek cooperation with Jakarta.

Ambassador Mahmud said that his visit was to introduce himself to the governor and seek cooperation, particularly on tourism. "We plan to exchange our culture. We hope that many Jakartans come to Brunei to enjoy the culture and vice versa," he said.
