REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Minister for Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa stressed that Indonesia emphasized the full implementation of Declaration on the Conduct of Parties (DOC) in the South China Sea dispute.

"DoC over the South China Sea is always highlighted on every ASEAN meeting," Natalegawa said on Friday.

ASEAN Foreign Ministers meeting last July generated six-point principles on the South China Sea. Some of the points reaffirms the commitment of ASEAN Members States to make early conclusion of a Regional Code of Conduct in the South China Sea and the guidelines for the implementation of the DOC.

"With those elements, hopefully we can reach zero draft to approach Code of Conduct," he said. He said that ASEAN must made a commitment to show that the region was dynamic and evolving.
