REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Australia was interested in developing beef cattle breeding in Kupang, Eastern Indonesia, as the region had the adequate natural resources, said Chief Minister Northern Territory Australia, Terry Mills.
"We can help the breeders in Kupang directly by sending the experts on beef cattle breeding," Mills said to representatives of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday.
He mentioned that connectivity was the important point. Kupang is pretty close to Darwin, but there is no direct flight. Mills expects Darwin and Kupang to be well-connected.
Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce, Suryo Bambang Sulisto, said Australian Government was aware that the country had many potential cooperation with Indonesia. "They see that their economic relationship with Indonesia is big, such as in oil and gas, mining, and cattle breeding sectors," he said.
