REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALANGKARAYA - Indonesia fails to solve problems within football association. The problems will be taken to Executive Committee Meeting of International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) in Tokyo, Japan, on Friday.

The failure is seen from dualism of congress on Monday. The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) held congress in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, while  the Indonesian Soccer Rescue Committee (KPSI) held similar congress in Jakarta.

"I don't even know our own future," Head of PSSI, Djohar Arifin Husin, said on Monday. He admitted that the problems in Indonesian football would be taken to FIFA.

Acting Minister of Youth and Sports, Agung Laksono, said PSSI and KPSI had failed to carry out the mandate of FIFA and Asian Football Federation (AFC). Thus, government does not recognize both congress.

"Government only expects one congress, that's it," he said yesterday.

FIFA sent its two representatives, Marco Leal and Jeysing Muthiah, to PSSI congress in Palangkaraya. But, they remained silent. "We are only monitoring," Jeysing said.

PSSI congress was hampered as the police banned the members to enter the meeting room. The members were forced to conduct the congress in the hotel lobby. Meanwhile, KPSI meeting ran smoothly. It inaugurated La Nyalla Mattalitti as Chairman of PSSI based on KPSI. KPSI even planned to take over PSSI office in Senayan.

Based on FIFA letter dated on November 26, 2012, KPSI and PSSI must hold joint congress. If they fail, FIFA threats Indonesia with sanction.
