Indonesia offers a capacity building program for Palestinian women

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Since conflict usually victimized women, Indonesian government had provided a program for Palestinian women, Indonesian Minister of Women Empowerment and Children Protection, Linda Amalia Sari Gumelar, said.

"Palestinian women will be sent to Indonesia to be trained. They will be educated and empowered economically," she said on Tuesday at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference in Jakarta. 

The program is conducted from government to government. Linda said that she had discussed the program with Palestinian delegation.

Palestinian Minister of Women's Affairs, Rabhihah Hamdan, thanked Indonesia for the help. Hamdan said that Palestine faced several matters to develop the country, mainly on women empowerment.
