REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia Council of Ulama (MUI) said that Kosovans was a good example for Palestinians. According to Chairman of MUI for Foreign Affairs Muhyiddin Junaidi, people of Kosovo who live abroad work hard.
After the Kosovo’s independence, its government asked them return to Kosovo. The Kosovar economic was flourishing and as good as Bosnia then.
“Palestine could ask its citizens living abroad to return to Palestine to build their country, like what Kosovo did,” Junaidi said on Tuesday.
Junaidi hopes that Indonesia could provide greater support to Palestine as he supports the idea of opening representative office in Ramallah, West Bank. He also recommended Indonesia to train Palestinians in capacity building while at the same time Indonesia were also providing social aids including building hospital, school, orphanage, and some infrastructural projects.
