Govt to spend 400 trillion IDR on construction in 2013

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian construction spending in 2013 is predicted to reach 400 trillion IDR, climbing 20 percent from 2012, which is 330 trillion IDR. The increae is pushed by Masterplan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI) program.

Chairman of Joint Implementation of the National Construction Indonesia (Gapensi), Soeharsojo, said the construction spending had climbed started in 2009. National construction spending in 2009 reached 170 trillion IDR. Then in 2010, rose to 180 trillion IDR. Infrastructure development is expected to attract more foreign investors.
