S. Korea to build space port with Indonesia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) cooperates with South Korea to build space port in Indonesia. "South Korea will build the infrastructure," the Head of LAPAN, Bambang Tejasukmana said, on Tuesday. 

He explained that South Korea was interested to build space port near equator. South Korea can also use the port to launch its satellite. "South Korea put its facilities in our space port, but Indonesia holds the management," he said,

The space port will be used to launch Orbital Satellite Rocket (RPS) and satellite. The port, cost approximately 20 billion USD, will also be used as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) testing sites.
