REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR – Commuter lines (KRL) from Bogor to Jakarta will be out of order for the next 21 days cute to landslide that interrupt the railway. Train operator PT KAI is trying to repair the 200-meters sliding edge and the hanging railway. Executive Director of PT KAI, Ignasius Jonan, said the repairment would take a long time as they must strengthen the contour of land.

"It will take a long time to restore the condition of the land," Jonan said on Thursday. The heavy rain yesterday also hampered the reconstruction process.

Landslide also caused four electrical poles fallen. Jonan said that it would only take three days to fix the poles.

Director General of Railroad System at the Ministry of Transportation, Tunjung Inderawan, said PT KAI also built drainage alongside the railway to prevent water in the river overflowing causing landslide. Thousands of KRL passengers were forced to find alternative transportation.
