REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) encourages government to bring Palestine-Israel conflict to International Court of Justice (ICJ).

"Government must conduct diplomatic effort to bring Palestine-Israel conflict to ICJ," the Presidium Chairman of ICMI, Nanan Fatah Natsir, said on Thursday.

ICMI also urges government to use UN forum to unite anti-aggression countries, encouraging Israel to hold peace talk. He said that UN must find peaceful solution for Middle East. UN is also suggested to monitor the truce involved in Gaza conflict. ICJ is the primary judicial organ of the United Nations. Among others, its main functions are to settle legal disputes submitted to it by states.
