Garuda achieves the best annual report award in Moscow

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MOSCOW - Indonesian state-owned airline company, Garuda Indonesia, achieves the best annual report award  on Friday. Indonesian Ambassador to Russia, Djauhari Oratmangun, represented Garuda to receive the award. 

The competition attended by 155 participants and Garuda Indonesia wins the first prize of Best Annual Report of Foreign Company based on the comprehensiveness of information, compliance, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), company performance and company prospect. Oratmangun praised Garuda as the only Indonesian company contesting in the competition

"We hope this award opens opportunity of cooperation between Indonesia and Russia, mainly in tourism and economic sectors," he said on the press release.

The data in Indonesian Embassy in Russia says 90,000 Russian tourists visited Indonesia in 2011. The number is expected to increase by 2012.
