Elephants poisoned to death in Riau

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Ministry of Forestry investigates the death of three elephants in Tesso Nilo National Park, Riau. Those elephants were poisoned to death, the Minister of Forestry Zulkifli Hasan said.

"We are investigating the subject who poisoned the elephants," Zulkifli said on Monday.

The three elephants, a female and its two babies, were found death and deteriorating in Tesso Nilo National Park. They were allegedly death since November 5. The Minister said the elephants were poisoned because they entered plantation area.
