Indonesia-China to build solar power plant

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEIJING - Indonesian and Chinese entrepreneurs agree to build Solar Power Plant in Eastern Indonesia. The agreement is made between 1945 Nuswantara Investama Company and Fire Energy.

The President Director of 1945 Nuswantara Investama, Romy Soekarno, and Director of Fire Energy, John Liu, signed the agreement on Saturday in Beijing, China.

On the Memorandum of Understanding, both parties cooperate in developing ecogreen renewable energy in Indonesia by building 10 MW solar power plant in Eastern Indonesia.

Fire Energy will soon visit Indonesia to study the location of powerplant. Romy Soekarno said the first stage of the plant would be built in Bali with investment value around 40 million USD.

Both parties also plan to have Solar Summit in March 2013 in Bali. The summit is expected to discuss solar conversion technology.
