REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GAZA CITY - Hamas praises Indonesian continuous support for Palestine. The support showed sincere love for Muslim brotherhood, the Head of Hamas in North Gaza Mustafa Ahmed Al Qanun said.

Indonesian people, he said, had been consistently helping Palestine. Both countries have a good relationship since a long time ago. When Indonesia gained its independence, Palestine gave the support. "Arab world was the first who recognized Indonesian victory. One of them was the leader of Palestine," he said as reported by Subroto from Republika.

Mustafa said that he was glad for the building of Indonesian Hospital in Bayt Lahiya, North Gaza. The hospital is the right place to help people in Gaza suffering from the blockade of Israel.

President of MER-C, Joserizal Jurnalis, said the fund for the building of the hospital came from Indonesian people. "The fund is all from Indonesian people, not from the government. However, the government gives the full support," he said.
