REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SITTWE - An Indonesian Non-Governmental Organization, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), plans to provide livestock for Eid al Adha in Sittwe, Myanmar. Qurban is the sacrifice of livestock during Eid-al-Adha.

ACT is in Sittwe to build shelter for Rohingya. However, to celebrate the upcoming Eid-al-Adha, they plan to provide livestock as they concern over Rohingya's condition. "They do not get proper daily meal. Let alone eating beef," the President of ACT, Ahyudin, said on Thursday, as reported by Maman Sudiaman from Republika.

ACT needs at least 200 cows for qurban. The Team Head of ACT, Doddy Hidayat, said livestock was often seen in Se Tha Ma Gyi, Myanmar. "The stock farmers agree to sell their livestock for qurban. We will negotiate the price," he said.

Hidayat admitted that the team faced some difficulties as the stock farmers were scattered in several areas. They also face some problems in delivering and distributing the stocks.

He said that it was not easy to enter Se Tha Ma Gyi. They must get permission from local government. Besides, armed officers guard the lane, the entrance, and markets.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Jusuf Kalla, said in Doha, Qatar, that 60,000 Rohingya refugees needed immediate attention. "They are in worrying condition, but we can help them designing their future," he said on the 2nd meeting on settlement of Rohingya conflict.
